Default JKS Quicker Disconnects and brake lines

Does anyone know if it is safe to install the jks disconnects without modifiying the brake lines? My JK has a 4" lift. Thanks!

I have been doing it fine with the stock break lines and have had no isses. Granted if I a 4" lift I would get the extended break lines.

The disconnects have nothing to do with your brake lines...you def need longer lines for your 4inch lift though

Your shock is going to be the deciding Factor if you have a 4" lift and short shocks on it you will be fine.

With a 4" lift you really should get brakelines.

Yes the disconnects have nothing to do with brakelines, it has to do with the shocks and amount of travel. I have extended brake lines and at full flex the are very close to running out of room so I have longer lines but haven't installed them yet. I would install them though just for that piece of mind.

Did you grease them? That helps, also make sure your Jeep is on level ground when you remove them. Sometimes if it is leaning it makes one side of the sway bar have more weight on it than the other, making removal of the discos hard.

Sometimes all it takes is for someone to stand on the opposite side of the Jeep to relieve some of the weight placed onto the discos. (acting like a counter weight.)
