Default Dont buy a Gibson Exhaust

I have a gibson exhaust.A few months ago my jeep got really loud all of the sudden after checking out my jeep I found that the factory intake pipe weld broke(the pipe that goes into the front of the muffler).I called gibson they said send it back with the sales receipt.Problem is im the second owner so I dont have it.I took it to my local muffler shop he fixed it then said as much as theese cat back systems cost they should not have a problem like this.Last week i noticed my tail pipe was just hanging there the factory weld where the tailpipe comes out broke.I went back to my muffler guy he welded it back on.I have ran Flowmaster Exhausts on all my other trucks for years with no problems. Rant over.I will be replacing with a flowmaster ASAP!!!

I went with Banks myself. I have had it on all my super duty trucks over the years.
Don't know to many folks running Gibson. This just might be the reason why.

+1 for MBRP. Top quality product, and the sound keeps getting better.

I never had a problem with my gibson on my 2door that I had installed for 2 years. I may end up going with it for my new 4 door. I'll need to look into this more.

x2
We have friends running them and they are quality. If I bought a packed system that would be the one I'd go with otherwise we've no problems with our Flow Master.

My wife has had hers for two years and through two Wisconsin winters, no problems.
She does have the SS exhaust.

Ive had a flow master on my Tacoma do this same thing, so i threw it in the ocean and used it as an anchor. Then I bought a Hamm Motor-sports and it did the same. Ive basically had bad luck in the same spot. I think it was due to a lack of hanger points and stressed the metal.
