Default Bushwacker / Rugged Ridge Cowl Scoops...

Ok, I did a search and haven't really found anything posted recently on these products. So for those of you that have either one, do they help at all with cooling the temps down under the hood? Or are they pretty much just for looks?

Only reason I am asking is because the the little money they cost, I thought about getting one and painting it to match my rubi...figured it MIGHT help with the heat and stuff. Also, older classic cars have always ran the scoops facing the windsheild...while most people I see with this on there Jeeps have it facing the other way (which does kinda look cool).

Either way, could some people provide any updated inputs of these products and if they are worth buying or not? Installed pics would be cool too. Thanks~
