Well one mod done and more to go. On-board ARB Air Compressor
During the install I used both the instructions and the Projects page from Project JK. Was an easy install but took some time since I started at night and finally gave up until daylight. You know how it goes you get something new and you want to start right away.
I tried mounting it like they had it typed in Project JK but had problems with big fingers. So I took the mount off and mounted the compressor to it first and reinstalled....WAY much better.
FYI to save time when tracing wires. The two wires inside you need to find power for, use the left power outlet (ie cigarette lighter) for the "power only on when igintion is on" and use the right power outlet for the "all the time power" you will need. Both are 20 AMP fused, instructions called fo atleast 8 AMPS so you will be good......
Pick up a couple extra suitcase electrical connectors, you will need them.

The boot of the shifter hit the bottom of the switch shelf but doesn't hit the swithes...Let me go take a pic real quick and post it. Just be careful when installing the metal clips on the back of the Daystar. It is soft plastic, not as good as the stock plastic but good enough. Move the clip back and forth to get them on helps, not just forcing them straight...BRB with boot pic..
Boot pics. Remember you can slide the boot up and down. I did mess with it real quick and did see how it could be a problem for certain switches.. Should be good with that type of switch I have installed.

Looks great! How do you like that unit to air up?
I know what you mean about wanting to start your project as soon as you get it... We started installing my lift during the heat wave here and it felt like 100 degrees in the garage

Haven't really used it for an airing up yet. Just did some testing to see if it worked. I believe it will work good. If you are planning on using it for impact tools or you want a faster fill up on our tires I would add a tank, which I am still debating in my mind. Granted it has less capacity then the Warn on their winches, but I wanted something seperate from the winch.
1. So I don't run into the problem of, if I loose one both are out.
2. I am trying to keep extra weight off the front. When I d add a winch it will have syn rope and a Alu, fairlead. Granted more expensive but I think it will be better in the long run.
