Went back to the tow lot to get pics of the Lincoln, but they had moved it.
The front of it is totalled.(if I can find it this weekend, I'll add pics) The guy hit me hard enough to pick the rearend of my jeep up in the air and turn me 180 degrees so I was facing the opposite direction. No skid marks from him to stop. Witnesses say my rear was totally airbourne till it set down. The guy is 74 yrs old, was in kinda an airbag shock and got a cut on his hand. Witnin an hour a guy that lives down my street who is a car salesman called me and said the guy was at his place looking at cars before he hit me. He left the lot and abit later he saw my jk and the other guys car being towed. The man who hit me went to the hospital, got discharged and went back to the dealer and bought a new car, go figure. I have a sore thumb, thats it. Fucked up cause its supposed to be nice weather all weekend. At least no one was hurt bad. I have Allstate, they said they'd cover everything including the aftermarket stuff. I'll just be jk less for awhile.

Another few pics, brake caliper all f'd too, prolly a bent axle flange, not sure if the housing or my frame is bent yet. I did back it off the street to the wrecker though, actually didn't feel too bad.

Dang... that's some serious damage there. Glad to see the rails kept the damage to the body at a minimum.

Just out of curiosity, why did your insurance state that they'd cover it? From the sounds of it, the guy in the Lincoln seems to be at fault ? Shouldn't it be his insurance covering the damage to your JK?

Glad to hear you're ok though. Is the rear axle salvageable or is it time for some 60s?

Good to hear your ok, the old guy shouldn't be allowed to drive. Really? What the hell was he doing? And he went right back to buy a new car? Was he planning this shit? Track him down and give him a good bump with a hearty bumper. Nice new car bud. Bastard....

Cheers

I got a failure to yeild ticket I was turning left on a 4lane into the turning lane , one of the lanes stopped for me to go through, this asshole swerves from behind them and plows into me. Cops told me it didnt matter what he did, that I was the one at fault for not yeilding, he was bookin it. Actually if he wouldn't have hit me, he'd plowed into the car that was to my left just passed me about 20ft in the opposite direction that was stopped for a light. In fact , the guy got out of his car and actually though he'd been hit from the rear with all the Lincoln parts and the 2 cases of bottled water that were in the back of my jeep raining down on him. I was issued the ticket before the police asked me anything about what happened. They were over tending to the guy and taking statements from witnesses. I was under the jeep surveying damage.

Yeah, no shit, if you read my post above, I tried to explain it the best I could, but I almost think he was aiming for the car that got pelted with stuff, cause he and the traffic ahead of him was stopped for a light. Something is fishy about it.
