Default Did I Jinx Myself

Ok so I thought I had a DW but it may just have been a wheel shimmy. Last month I installed a JKS front track bar and quicker discos. I have atleast 500 miles on it and have not had any wheel shake. This week I installed an 8000lb winch that weighed in at 94lbs. the first time I hit the freeway with it I notice some slight wheel shimmy on small bumps. I told my wife, “ do you feel that front end shake, If it ever gets worse when your driving, just let off the gas and go easy on the brake.” Within one mile BAM I get a bad shimmy. As I slow down from 70 to 60 no more shimmy. I stopped at a gas station and torque both track bars to 130 to make sure those mofo’s were tight. Neither was loose though My front hole seemed big when I installed the JKS though, Im thinking that may be my issue. when I got home I checked my ball joints again and all tight there. See the play in the trackbar

was your stock one a good fit in the hole? That is weird. I have seen them get larger after being loose for a while and making the hole larger, but not where the bar had a different size stud.

I have a JKS trackbar, and I am 99% sure it is causing the death wobble in my jeep. I should have bought the Teraflex one made out of solid steel.

when I removed the stock bar, the holes (top & bottom bracket) were not ovaled. The bolt was equally loose in the top (frame side) as it was in the bottom (axle side). although the bolt fit tight in the track bar, and the track bar had thread mark inside it. so since bo bracket were the same (and I only had 8k on the jeep) i figured they were ok. Im suprised the bottom is moving and not the top. Although in reading planmans DW writeup he says to loosen up the track bar and control arms and retorque. this will solve any bind issues.

The bolt should have no slop in the holes. If it does you need to weld washers.
