Default What can I do for tire coverage so the police stop breaking my balls

So I just put on a 4" lift and 35"x12.5 tires. I Have on my Jk the Xenon Flares which are narrower than stock fender flares. I have mudflaps on my rear but I would like to find the best solution to make my jeep legal. On the Bushwacker website the Flat style fender flares which are almost identical claims to add 9.5" of tire coverage. It would be much simply if it just stated how much wider they were from stock or what siz tires they cover with appropriate backspacing.

Anyway. Does anyone know how much these Bushwacker flares actually cover? or are there a set of mudflaps that cover the flap and flare, such as "long johns"

I have a set but I cant figure out how i can attach them to the front

Wouldnt bushwackers claim of "This Flare adds 9.5" of tire coverage" lead you to beleive that is is greater than stock?

cheers

Planman is right. Bushwackers are equal to stock.

with your setup the wide xenons should do the trick.. thats about as wide as you can get... you could get the bushwhacker pocket style flares.. they are slightly wider than the xenons by a half inch maybe.. but you should be good with the wide xenons.. with a 12.50 wide tire..

The HighRock extension flares fit on top of the stock flares and add 2.5".

Bushwacker claims that their flares are stock width but I can tell you from personal experience that the claim is BS. The fronts are a good 1" narrower than stock. with my stock flares on, my front tires were completely covered, but with the Bushwacker flat flares they stick out at least an inch (measured using a four foot level against the tire just like the inspection shops in NH are now required to by the NHDOT).

The pocket style look HUGE, but like it's been stated they're only about 1 to 1/2" wider than stock. Glad they dont really enforce that particular law around here. Good luck

I face the same issue as the OP. I'm amazed that with the legal restrictions out there in both the USA and Canada that other than Xenon, none of the other manufactures are building wider than stock fender flares.

These Highrock fender flares say they are 2.5" wider than stock.
