I have a 4.5 Rubicon Express long arm lift on a 08 Rubi UL. It has Fox reservoir shocks. I still bottom out on the bumpstop on the rear right side when I hit a decent bump, even on a paved freeway. It only happens on one side. I have no idea if this is normal. I would have expected that with a 4.5 inch lift, I wouldn't feel bottom, without a helluva a bump.
Is this normal? Intuitively, it doesn't feel right.
Gratuitous pic of the vehicle in question.

Are you sure its the bumpstop? Maybe put some baby powder or chalk on the bumpstop and see if thats whats hitting. Maybe snap a couple pics on that side to and post up. How long has your RE kit been on ? I've ridden in jk's with re kits, no that is not normal.

Looks like your rear trkbar bolt is dingin your rear bumstop pad. I'm thinkin your rear axle is pushed back to far.

Wow!!! Your springs really look bound up!!! Almost like the rear ends are way out of position.. I just installed a Teraflex 4" short arm and my springs are straight up and down.
I am not real sure but it doesn't look right to me. Also rubicon express lifts are famous for "POPing" My TJ does it allot.. But not sure of the design on a JK.

The question now is: Do I take it back and have them adjust the long arms to move the axle forward, or just modify the bumpstop. I am reasonable sure they will do either.
Pics of the position of the axle before trading out the stock rails and trimming the body.
