Default Teraflex 2.5 coil lift

I just installed the Teraflex 2.5" BB with coils and shock adapters. When I back out of the driveway or go over a speed bump at an angle, I can feel the normal bump but then there is a slight wiggle left and right after. Is this normal with the longer springs or is there something that I need to check?

Thanks,
Mark

Hmm. If you search throughout the forum, answers and opinions will vary.

As you get higher from the ground, the ride in your Jeep will be different than stock.

My suggestion:

Go back through the installation of your suspension and recheck that every component is properly installed, if any questions arise, take some photos and ask. Make sure everything was/is torqued to the correct ft lb's.

After checking that all the components are correctly installed and everything is torqued to specification, have someone test drive it that has a similar setup or any knowledge of a Jeep.

Sounds normal to me as you increase in height the more motion side to side when you hit bumps or have cross winds. Also, I believe your new TF coils springs are more solid than the stock springs with less give to them until you start to add some weight like bumpers and winch.

Yes, it could likely be bump steer due to the new height, but there could be some other issues. Did you recenter your steering wheel after the lift? If not, it could be the ESP trying to overcompensate for what it thinks is going on. Just something else to check.
