Anyone cut your stock "DUMBO EAR" fender flares ?? I think they could look cool if the vertical portion on the edges were removed. Gain a couple of inches in tire clearance also. Wondering if anyone has been brave enough to try it and what the results were. As soon as I get a few more scratches on mine they will be butchered !

 

I think if you do a search you'll be amazed at the number of threads on this, but also the number of people that have done it.

 

Someone really clever, not me, should make a template for this, or at least a pdf of one with the measurements. I don't trust my eye enough to just tape a line and cut it.

 

Is this a joke? A quick search for "fender chop" brings up 20 pages of posts on this subject.
It is a popular and one of the easiest ways to gain tire clearance.

Next, somebody will be asking if the JK killed the "Jeep wave" .................
