Default 2008 2-Door JK Lifting

I am in the process of lifting my stock 2008 Rubicon and planning the following:

Install: 4" lift kit from Rough Country
Spidertrax wheel spacers
35" Toyo Open Country M/T's on the stock Baha Rims

Does anybody see any train wrecks infront of me before I perform this mod?

With that high of a lift new drive shafts may be needed.

2.5-3" is all the lift that is needed to run 35s and less if you have flat flares or trimmed fenders as Planman mentioned. Additionally you will make your rig look roller skaty with a 4" lift and there isn't enough meat to fill up the wheel wells. There is little advantage to a 4" lift on a 2 door for 35s outside of limiting high centering which isn't a big issue on a 2 door.

Default Thanks for the great insight

With the feed back I have recieved what would be the best recommendation that would not require any fender modifications. I have the tires, spacers.

There are lots of options and lots of opinions out there and what you need is a 2.5-3" lift. One opinion that is shared by the majority of people here is that Northridge is the place to go and David is the right guy to help you both before and after the sale. The Northridge OME or OME long travel kit would be an excellent choice and there are lots of Teraflex customers that are really happy. Both available from Northridge and Teraflex is an excellent sponsor here.

Good advice above. I would go agree with all of the above.

However, my dad has a 4" Pro Comp with less components than the Rough Country Kit mentioned above by the OP and it drives good.

Note: Now it driving good is in my personal opinion.

He has the white two door with 35's 4" Pro-Comp with just Springs, Brake Line Extensions, Shocks, Sway Bar Links. This suspension was installed by a reputable dealership.

The Silver jeep is a 3" Old Man EMU Long Travel Shocks With the HD Coils, adjustable front and rear trackbars, sway bar links, brake line extensions, front lower control arms.

The silver jeep drives night and day difference in comparison to the white jeep. The suspension was user installed.

The white jeep needs a lift in the rear!!!!! Looks like you are hauling a load of cement.

You can get a TeraFlex 2.5" and run 35's. I would also suggest you listen to any advice from planman "Lord of the Pucks". If you have any questions, give me call. Welcome to the forum!

depends on your shock lengths on the two door if you'll need drivelines or not.
