Default Rust warranty ?

Does anyone know if Jeep covers rust on the door hinges or is it up to each individual dealer?

Take it in your Jeep dealer should repair the rust & bubbling on the hinge! The problem is they used Aluminum Hinges on a steel body when they should have used Steel hinges to avoid corrosion. If your Jeep dealer will not cover it just take them off and Rhinoline them like several other members have done to make them look better.

Took the 07 with a purchase date of Oct 06 to the dealership last year and talked about it. The service manager told me, "that's a warranty item and they'd do it" , but he'd need the JK for three days. Asked him if I could get it done in a year or so, and he said sure. He had the service desk guy take pictures, write it up at that date, and added it to my folder they keep on computer there.

You guys rock. I hadn't noticed it since I almost always run my 1/2 fabric doors but my buddy A-Dub just bought an 08 and like all of his toys he had to buy Black. We were giving it the once over and noticed the bubbling on the hinges. Since seeing his I looked at mine and the same thing. I think I'm going to Rhinoline mine. Thanks for the good intel.
