Default Popping noise after budget boost

I just installed a 2.5" BB the other day. Now I'm hearing a popping noise frm the front end when I take turns & hit certain bumps. Is this normal with a budget boost? It sounds like bad ball joints but it started after the lift so I imagine it's related. Anyone have similar experiences?

Did you have to mess with your track bar when you put that in? If so make sure it is tight 125 inch-pounds on the torque wrench.

The only think I could think without seeing it is something is loose or binding... check your brake lines and retorque everything...

It should make no noise at all! I had a similar experience once and realized that my track bar was moving a bit b/c I did not tighten it enough... Always use a torque wrench and make sure everything is tightend to specs....

Good Luck

Thanks for the pointer. I didn't mess with the track bar but I did re-check everything tonight. I got a few good turns on my sway bar links & took it for a ride. I think that was the culprit but we'll see tomorrow during my ride to work.

I had the same problem until I installed my JKS sway bar discos. If you did not move your rear sway bar links to the front, you are going to get the noise every time you hit a bump. I think getting the longer sway bar links or discos is money well spent. My brother in law had the problem also.

with a budget boost, your axle will have shifted over just a tad. depending on what size tires you have and how much back spacing you have on your wheels, i'm going to be that you're hearing the lugs of your tires rubbing somewhere... maybe bumper or air dam if you still have them?

Did you loosen, not remove, the control bolts prior to the install? The lift changes all the angles of the suspension and can cause binding in some of the joints.

After the lift is installed retorque everything back to spec with the weight on the vehicle on flat ground

Check sway bar links. I had some noise after leveling kit and that was it. I might change them out to a better set. Also did you tight while it was sitting on ground and re-torgue?

I never touched the control arm bolts. It didn't mention that in the instructions.
