Default hemi swap newbie question

Ok so the wife says get a hemi, But I have a few questions. Yes I know there is a search button and have used it but im still scratching my head.

I found a used 5.7l and auto tranny with 30,000kms up here for $2,200. I'm just wondering beside the kit from AEV or BOR what else will I need to do to the jeep? Or whats a hidden cost people dont know about?

If I buy the motor i'll atempt to install this myself. lol

The additional parts you may need depends on what the motor came out of. If you look at the AEV instructions, there is a Bill of Materials for all the other stuff you'll need - exhaust manifolds, alternator, ps pump, ac compressor, etc. That can set you back another $2-3k depending on what you have. I'm not familiar with the BOR kit, so I don't know what other parts that may require. My Hemi (still not installed) came out of a 2008 Grand Cherokee and I got all of the AEV BOM parts from moparpartsamerica.com[/url].

I'd love a hemi (who wouldn't) but I'm not thrilled with all of the overheating issues I've read about.

Seems like a lot of the guys having problems are at altitude (Colorado included) so I'm not sure whether being up in Canada in the cold temps is going to make a difference. To be honest, I'm not sure anyone really knows why the overheating is an issue.

That's the perfect donor and a good deal too. I paid about $3k for my motor and another $1k for the trans without all the accessories. Now I'm just saving up for the AEV kit.
