Cool Sahara Rims on Rubicon

New guy here with a question for the mod of my 2008 Rubi Unlimited. I am going to install a 2" budget boost from Rubicon Express this month so I can fit 35's under it. Just wondering if anyone can confirm fitment of the 18" Sahara rims on the Rubi post lift operation. I know that I will need the wheel spacers for the stock 17" rims with the 35's but I am uncetain about rubbing if I go up to the 18" rims. Thanks in advance.

You'll still need the spacers but a taller rim won't matter. It's still a 35" tire.

Have you checked tire availability on the 18? I noticed when I was looking that many of the popular tires have limited fitment on an 18 inch wheel. They seem to favor the 17 and lower.

Have you looked at the price different between 35's on 17 and 35's on 18?

I added 35's on 18's no problem, but I needed spacers. The links clear the wheel the problem is the tire will rub in full turn regardless of wheel size. You'll also find out you will rub the front plastic air damn thing. 17 inch tires will be cheaper, but in my case I eventually want to go with xd series wheels and most of those are 18 x 9. Do what you like because someone will always tell you to do the opposite.

Oh and I have 18" procomp wheels coming to fill the voids in the new duratracs i have stacked in my shop. Now ill be running 4.75" BS so i shouldnt need spacers for your average 12.5" wide tire (since most arent actually that wide) but mine are a true 12.8" wide and i have a 9" rim coming so Ill be running spacers and the new rims for a total BS of 3.25". Theyll stick out, but they wont rub.
