Default TF leveling kit and 3" spring lift???

Hi all,
maybe this is a dumb question but as I'm about to purchase a 4 door Rubi soon and run 35's, I've noticed a lot of JK's have a forward rake to them.

Personally, and I certainly don't want to offend anyone here, I don't much care for that and I would prefer it sit level.

w/ all that I've read about JK lifts, it seems 3"inches is as high as I would like to go to keep things relatively simple.

Q: Will trying to level out a lift add too much angle to the front drive shaft joint?....say 1" more inch?

Q: How much lift does a TF 3"- 8 arm kit actually produce on a 4 door? ( I read recently where at least one person swears that TF kits produce the most af any advertised lift.)

Q: Also, what about front track bar length? Is a new track bar needed at that point?

I've searched but didn't really get what I was looking for.

Thanks in advance
cheers,
-JB

when you put on a lift, generally they compensate for the rake.

now if you put on a lift and have a heavy front bumper and a winch and some body armor your obviously going to have more weight bowing down the jeep, whether it be the front or back.

you can buy a 3" lift kit from teraflex that will produce more than the advertised height if you don't plan on putting bumpers, armor, and winches on at the same time.

so they say 3", expect 4+" of net height with no bumpers, armor, and winch.

now say if you buy a lift that gives you 3" because you have armor, bumpers, and a winch, you can add a 1" body lift that won't effect the angles at which your drive shafts are effected already. other words, it's going to make a difference adding the body lift. only suspension will cause premature ejaculation..

Thanks for the reply.

I'd like to get enough to run 35's comfortably and everything I've come to learn about TF kits has been great so far....that and my local dealership has tons of experience with that kit & will install it w/out voiding my warranty.

Cheers,
-JB

2.5" Tera Flex is a great quality lift! And it will allow you to run 35's.

I have the 3" TF lift. Kit came with .5" spacers

Started to sit in the front with Warn bumper, Winch, and skids so I added Daystars .75" front spacers to level it out

So now my front has the Daystar .75 and the TF .5 stacked and it works fine.

Either way be prepared to rip your DS boot with a 3" lift. But adding an inch wont hurt anything

So I'll have front d/s boot problems even on a 4 door stick shift?

Plan on upgrading in the future. Some people report 30k miles on stock drive shafts and no problems, and other report driveshaft failures first time out on the trail...

other factors like longer shocks and disconnecting swaybars contribute to oem driveshaft failures.

If yours is a 6 speed you prob wont.

It tears when the front tires drop. People with TF 2.5 have even torn theres. But all autos I believe like mine

TF3 and front spacer is a great setup

I might be wrong but i think you can trim the skid plate some to avoid the DS boot tearing issue.
