My 2.5 procomp kit came with a REAL thick rear trackbar mount... dealer said he didnt reccomend the spacer kits because they dont come with beefed up trackbar mounts and that they were having them come back with broken trackbar mounts.

my dealership is very mod friendly so i trust them.

Actually, I have that kit and I'm putting it on this weekend. There are a couple things I'm changing about it though...

First, they supply some brackets to space down the rear swaybar instead of supplying longer links. I wasn't real keen on this so I bought some adj JKS swaybar end links. I'm sure their lowering brackets work fine, but I knew the end result I wanted so I opted to go ahead and use the adj link.

Second, I decided not to use the trackbar relocation bracket so I bought front & rear JKS adj trackbars.

Some people may think I'm crazy for going about it this way, but I've been looking and really haven't found a kit that has everything that I want. I got a deal on the Daystar kit that I couldn't pass up so I am using it to get me up where I want the Jeep to be and then I'm basically going to build my lift around it until I finally replace the spacers with new coils.

If you are just wanting a taller stance and clearance for larger tires this kit should work nicely. Being that it's a spacer kit it won't necessarily give you more flex. If you are into any kind of serious wheeling, you may want to look at a spring kit. Unless, like I've chosen to do, you want to build around it.

I'm in no way an expert on the matter, but I can tell you the trackbar reloacation bracket supplied with the Daystar kit does not differ much from many of the others I've seen with other kits, from what I can tell. No, it does not have the extra piece that u-bolts around the axle tube (like the one in your pic), but it is made from very thick steel and looks nearly identical to most that are supplied with small lifts. I don't have it here in front of me to measure but it looks to be about 1/4" thick. The problem with a relocation bracket is it creates a lever, or torque arm, of sorts and allows the trackbar to apply more force to the already suspect stock mounting point. This is another reason I decided not to use a relocation bracket of any kind as I only plan on ending up at around 3" of lift and should be able to get by with an adjustable trackbar. I plan to also use a JKS trackbar reinforcing bracket that is welded on. This does not relocate the mounting point of the stock bracket. It only reinforces the factory mount so it won't be ripped off.

If you want that much lift...why not look at a coil spring lift?

If you are going to start adding more weight like bumpers, winch...save your money and look directly at a coil spring lift as the stock coils will sag a lot with added weight. You can pick up coil spring lifts like TF or OME that give you +3" of lift and will not sag much if at all with added weight.
