Default 35's, stock rims w/ wheel spacers, 2.5" RC lift, Teraflex quick discos.......

and the rub.

I just installed the GY Duratracs in a 315/70/70. I was out wheeling last week and disconnected the sway bars. The tires are now rubbing the sway bar links.

What's the best way to correct this? Do I need to go to a rim with less backspacing to push the tires out further?

Thanks for the help.

you're rubbing sway bars in the rear?

if so, is your rear axle centered?!

i guess the same question goes for the front....

I'm not rubbing in the rear, only in the front. The tires are hitting the sway bar link that gets pinned into place after they're disconnected. The tires are actually rubbing the pin as well.

I haven't checked it in over a year, but when we did the lift the axles only shifted about 1/8". I never put a new trackbar on the jeep.

Well, when your disconnected, are your pins being hit on both tires? Or just the Driver side, ect?

It depend on which side is flexing. It rubs on the side that is getting stuffed. Happens on both sides.

bingo - what he said. what you are seeing is a common problem and the best option is to just disconnect the links altogether.

That's a good idea, but the whole point of using the Teraflex quick discos is that you don't need any tools to disconnect. Is there a solution for this, or do I just need to carry around some tools to get it done?
