Default Almost ripped off my rear brake line.

So I took our daughter out for her first wheeling trip (she's 4 months old). Nothing too serious but enough to do some damage. Almost ripped my rear fender off on a tree. Busted my new holder in my bumper and my rear drivers side brake line hung up and almost got ripped off by the rear trackbar bolt. It did kink the line but the brake still works and there's no leaking. I think my brake line bracket extensions caused it. Is it better to just extend the braided lines. And does the hard line run the entire length of the frame before being able do disconnect it. And where can I get a new hard line other than a dealer?

yeah, it's very possible that your extension bracket helped get things in the way. that plus if your axle was not completely centered, that wouldn't have helped. installing a new longer line is the best option but, it does cost more than installing an extension bracket. if you keep the bracket, bend it in a way so that it point inward so that it stays out of the way of the sway bar. as far as the hard line goes, if the kink isn't too far down from where it hooks up to the soft line, i would just cutting it with a small tube cutter and then re-flaring it with a flare tool. after that, you'll be good as new.

I figured they had somthing to do with it. I have a track bar bracket in the rear but it I think it pushed it too far to the other side. That's no biggy though I'm getting new track bars and reinforcement brackets for the B day.

Re-flairing the line isn't possible. It bent right at the fitting and mangled the rest of the line. Wasn't pertty.
