Wheel offset impact bumpsteer with 35" tires
i have 35" tires on 18 x 9.5 with 4.5 offset, drives and handles well with the exception of bumps or ruts that catch only the outside edge of the front tires, will pull or bump the wheel in my hand, not severe but noticable.
I may get a second set of tire and wheels would a 9" wide with 4.75 make a noticable improvement or is this something we live with when running large tires?

what tires are you running? if you have mud terrains you might catch a lug on a rut and that will make for interesting times..goes with the program..if you have a modified rig, you will change the driving characteristics.
im thinking a 9" wheel with 4.75 to 5.00 backspace would put the 35 tires just at the outside edge of the fender flare.
Any one come up with what they feel is the best wheel width and backspace, i currently have 9.5 wide with 4.5 backspace and they stick out just a bit to far by .5 to 1.0 inch
