Default Build thread for my THIRD front bumper

This will be the third bumper I have built for my Jeep in the last year or so.

4x8 sheet of 3/16. $140 and it will make front, rear, and side armor. Not a bad deal.

This is the current state. I cut about 3 inches off the frame and rewelded the stock tow hook mounts to work with this new bumper.

I will put another 8 or so hours in it tomorrow. Hopefully it will be close to finished by the end of the day. Ill try and post more pics tomorrow night.

I get bored with things quickly. Plus I just bought a plasma cutter so I wanted to build something a little more complex than the first two.

Got most of the welding and grinding done today. Still have to build the winch plate, finish the ends, and get the hawse fairlead mounted. The shackle mounts look a little out of place but I think when the fairlead is on and its painted they will blend in more. Im happy with it so far.
