I finally got around to painting. A paint shop would've done better, but I still like it more than the grey primer that was there!

Looks great!!! Did you hook up your cargo light? I hooked mine up, but I'm thinking I may remove it and put a push button light back there so there won't be any wires to hide.

Thanks. I'm gonna wait a while and try polishing and waxing to help protect/make it look a little better.

No, I put it in a box when I took off the pads. I didn't like the wires either. I thought about trying to make the light assembly look better there, and hiding wires, but the plastic housing on the bare bar just looked bad. I think I'll probably go with some push button lights like you, maybe above each headrest. Hmmm, you just got me thinking about putting magnets on them so they can go up and down without any residue! And of course stick anywhere on the Jeep!

Sorry......but if the rollbars were beefier they would look great. But as wimpy as they are I think they look better with the pads around them............but that's just me.

I'd like them better if they were beefier too. Or at least if the fronts were as thick as the backs. But I still like getting rid of as much interior plastic and fabric that I can!

i definitely agree about the front bars. The back bars look fine to me. I like mine a lot better since I took off my faded padding.

I was thinking the same thing about the lights. thought about putting one where the factory light is and then put one on the tailgate or somewhere in the cargo area. I haven't found any yet, but I've only looked in a couple of places. Let me know if you find some good ones.

I agree. Jeep should make em much thicker. Not sure if this would make rolling over safer but it sure seems like it. JEEP IT'S OUR SAFETY you goons.

I love the way they look bare and painted but I have to agree I'll keep the padding on because they do look a little wussy which is a shame. They should just come painted and bare from the factory without that crap that fades to that nasty pinkish color after a season in the sun.

They probably wouldn't meet federal head impact criteria without the padding so Chrysler can't sell them bare.
