Show me your doorless side rear view mirrors (non perma mount)
So, a couple weeks back I finally took the doors off my JK for the 1st time....Yippy yeah!!!
It was awesome...I loved it....but then the 1st thing I noticed when I went to back out of my drive way was "Where are my side rear view mirrors???"
Oh yeah....they're on the doors, hanging in the garage. So then as I'm driving down the highway, on my way to work, and constantly checking my side rear view mirrors that aren't there....I start to wonder.....Is this even legal, not having any side rear view mirrors?
I know friends who have gotten tickets for having broken side rear view mirrors....Hmmm???
So now I'm looking outside my open door way and thinking......Hmmmm??? There's a door hinge there....I bet it would be pretty easy to mount temporary mirrors on those top hinge mounts for when I'm driving doorless.
So show me what you got and where to get them.

So, does this answer the question of legality? I was told by the dealer that it was legal, but then a friend said you have to have at least the passenger side installed. In fact though, I need that one less than the driver side. It's easy to see back on the right hand side. Any rate, don't want to get a ticket.

It all depends on your state's laws. In Kansas, you've got to have at least the passenger and rear-view mirrors. Your state might be different. However, here's what I did. (I stole the idea from someone else on the forum.) Basically it's just the "euro-mirror" that you can pick up for about $14 at almost any auto parts store. Worked great for me!

In Illinois as long as you can see out of your rear view mirror you dont have to have the side ones. Also when I was in Wisconsin I drove without. I have never been pulled over in Illinois, Alabama, or Wisconsin without side mirrors... So I just go without....
