Default Tom Woods Rear 1310 Driveshaft question

Just got finished installing my TW DS. Noticed I have a gap between the TW rear pinion flange and the rear diff housing that wasn't there with the stock flange adapter.

Is this normal or does my TW adapter flange need hammered back more on the pinion? It was torqued to 160 ft/lbs as is.

If anyone running TW rear DS could snap a pic of their rear pinion flange so I can compare I'd appreciate it.

It looks like that because you didn't reinstall the factory dust cover.

I don't think you need to reinstall the dust cover with the Woods shafts... could be wrong, but check it out.

No need to install factory dust covers when you go to aftermarket yolks, they'll just rattle and aggravate ya.
