Default True Size of BFG KM2 versus Goodyear MTRs?

Hey all...debating 35 inch versus 37 inch debate that many seem to do. I have heard bits and pieces about KM2 tires not running a true diameter. So I figured I would come right out and ask.

What is the true mounted diameter of a 35" KM2 versus a 35" MTR and the same question for the same two tires in a 37" size?

TIA.

Just do what your asking someone else to do. Go to the manufacturers web sites and research it for yourself. That would help you a lot in making up your mind on a tire. Nothing like a little foot work on your part.

Edit:

I'll help a little though.

I'll help a little though. KM2 is 35s are actually 34.8"
I did that.....the manufacturers say one thing but people who own them say another....for example I've seen posts that claim the 37" KM2s are only 35.5 inches tall on a vehicle. I thought I was pretty clear when I asked for the true mounted diameter of these size wheels and mentioned the part where I've heard that they don't actually measure what they are supposed to.

I did mention that didn't I?

If you put the tire on your Jeep and put it at the max pressure on the sidewall you will get a tire very close to the advertised size. Every tire will measure smaller on the Jeep because it will be compressed by the weight of the Jeep and make it smaller in dia. And when you are offroad and aired down it will get smaller still. So the bigger you start with the more you will have after airing down.

I would think it depends on what tire pressure and rim width you run as well. I run 35" MTR's at 30 psi and they are 34.5" in height mounted on stock moab's.

?? Measure the circumference and divide by PI (3.141...?), that should give you your tire size. Some tires may just "squat" more than others depending on wheels, pressure etc...

Sorry, I read a lot about people re-gearing for a 35 and get a 37 because it measures closer to a 35. I would think (not know) that the 35's mentioned didn't measure ~35 due to weight on the tire, not the actual circumference of the tire. Your axles still have to turn the entire tire even though it has "squated" due to weight/pressure.
Sorry about the long post.. was involved.
