Default Cost of Upgrade

I’m a college student so i dont have a lot of money to spend but im savin up so i can afford an upgrade. Ive got a 3 in suspension lift and will most likely put another 2 inches from a body lift on this upcoming summer.
But here in the next few years I want to upgrade to 35s, regear, and get a dana 44 front axle...

Now for that upgrade I want to get a descent deal.. so how much do u guys think that will go for?

Thanks

Wait until you have money. Put saved money into a Roth IRA and it will increase exponentially compared to starting to save in ~3-4 years.
I'm a college student as well.

First off, you are in college, and I will assume that you have decent math skills, right? So I have to ask, what are you thinking???

Current 3 inch lift plus a 2 inch body lift = 5 inches of lift. On stock tires!!

Skip the BL. If you want more clearance, chop the flares or go to flats. That is plenty for the 35's you will get "in a few years".

As far as a D44 goes,
-You can find a used rubi housing for around $500, then add internals as you go.
-Expect somewhere around $1500 for a complete 'used' rubi axle. (someties less, but probably more)
-A new rubi complete front 44 is around 3k. (a bit less if you look around, a lot more if you go through a dealer)
-A new ProRock 44 is around $4200 (alloy inners, choice of gears, arb or detroit, caster correction, much much stronger than a rubi)

If you are considering buying new, don't even consider a rubi front, go straight to the PR...

Also, a recent post indicated that the price of the stock rubi e-locker itself has gone up to $1200, so take that into account if you decide on a bare housing and adding components. The only other option for a rubi housing is the new ARB 35spline locker, but you would have to upgrade to 35spline shafts as well, can't use the stock 30spline axles.

Thank you very much... and im not gonna get the BL until after the 35 and even then I probably wont need it.. thanks again for the cost estimate.

Most likely Ill go with the used Rubi 44.

Flat flares will give you as much travel as a 2" bl. A 2 inch bl would look rediculous anyway...
