Default Tire carrier/Jerry can

What is THE way to go for a tire carrier/jerrycan/storage rack system?

I would imagine there are quite a few very good options, and that personal preference would be a major factor. Personally I like the look and design of the Shrockworks and LoD solutions.

Default OR-Fab

Depends what you want to do. Do you want a complete bumper / tire carrier / jerry can system? If so, something like the Shrockworks or LOD setup works good. If you just want a tire carrier system that also carries jerry cans and gives you the option of any bumper you want then the OR-Fab setup works really good.

I have the OR-Fab carrier and it has worked great for me. This is a picture of it on my Jeep

Does anybody have any ideas about gas can/rack ideas if you already have an aftermarket bumper. I have a Rugged Ridge bumper and would also like to know my options for cargo or gas cans.

x2 on the OR Fab. Goes with any bumper, zero rattles, no wobbling, very secure locking/closing mechanism.

That Or Fab carrier is nice. Atleast you dont have to change the hole bumper with it.

Since I was short on cash, I had some square tubing welded together that fits into the hitch and looks somewhat like a bike carrier (w/ a crossbar on the top and about 1 foot lower).I mounted a jerry can holder on it and used tie straps to keep it in place. It worked pretty good except when I needed to get in the back. Then I had to take it off and it was heavy. Mounted the jack on it too.

The rock hard Gerry can holder fits on the triangular tire carrier bars on Smittybuilt XRC carriers. Does your Rugged Ridge have triangulated bars?
