Default RUBICON EXPRESS vs. FULL TRACTION

Ive been pricing out lifts getting ready to pull the trigger but cant quite decide. I want lowers and uppers so I can get it dialed in and be done with it. Full Tractions Ultimate short arm 4" is quite a bit more cash than Rubicon Express 3.5". I was just looking for an honest opinion. I really like FT and Ive seen on here their customer service awesome, but the extra cash could go a long ways towards rims and tires. Does RE leave something out of their short arm lifts. Thanks

RE has nice stuff, but the extra cash you are spending on the FT you would have to use to get adjustable arms to replace the RE non-adjustable arms. Also, FT is a sponsor on here who is also on pretty much everyday.

My vote...FT.

When the time comes, i will do the FT 3 or 4 inch long arm they offer. Fully bolt on and you can install yourself if you know your way around a wrench. My 2 cents...

How does RE make the non adjustable arms work with their lifts?

I can't say how much more it costs but I have the RE 3.5 with the adjustable arms and track bars and it is wonderful. It flexes so well offroad my little X handles like a mountain goat.

I'll chime in. I'm sure you have heard it before but I'll say it again, you get what you pay for. I would go with Full-Traction, The rubber bushings on the RE arms are a PITA to replace. I've helped jeepsanddrums change one out. We hammered, we pried, finally we cut it out with a sawsall. They lasted for a few thousand miles and a couple good runs.
The FT now offer SRS Joints. Kevlar lined and maintenance free. I have RE 4.5" coils and they are stiff.
With FT you can upgrade to long arms if you so desire in the future.

Call Chris at Full-Traction. I'm sure he could explain more of the details on why their kit is superior.

What size tires do you plan on running? You may be able to go with a shorter lift and save some money.
