Default New lift - Now need shock help

Got the RK 3.5 X-Factor Plus Long Arm and now need to get some shocks for it. Rock Krawler recommends RRD Racing shocks for it, but they are not available yet and they also recommend Bilstein 5100's. However, I have read that the 5100's shocks ride pretty stiff - not what I want specifically because I always have my 2 year old daughter in tow all the time. A write up of the 5.5 Triple Threat claims that the lift with Bilstein 7100's rides stiffer than a stock Rubicon, so that's not a option for me either. I was thinking of the OME LT's becasue I hear they ride amazing, but are they the appropriate specs to fit this lift?

Also, was thinking of maybe going with Fox or King, but don't know how they ride with this type of setup. What I'm looking for is a comfortable ride but doesn't give way and allow alot of body roll on off-ramps and turning at speed. What do you guys think is a good choice to go with and would love to hear some feedback from experience.

Here are the specs on the shocks needs:

  • Front Shock - 17" Collapsed to 29" Extended
  • Rear Shock - 15" Collapsed to 25" Extended

If you want something that has a nice soft ride.

Check out the Old Man EMU Long Travel shocks. Many and almost everyone I know recommends them.

But I think body roll as mentioned above is a give-n-take with the softness of a shock.
