Another JK Lift
I have a new 2010 JK 4-door and have begun the build.
What I want out of this is a daily driver, and to do moderate 4 wheeling when I can. The plan is to do mods that are practical but can be upgraded as I go along.
What I have now is a fairly stock JK with Auto, 3.73 gear, Lod font bumper and winch, and n-fab siderails
What is next is the lift. For tires I plan to do 35s in the future, but for now will probably run just 33s on my current stock rims. My thought is to get a 3" lift, which should meet my needs. In the future if I go 37s, I can add fender flares or a body lift, but for now as a DD should be fine with 33s.
For the kit, I am looking at two brands - Full Traction and TeraFlex. Start with a basic kit that will drive well, and then keep upgrading until I have the equivelant of an ultimate/elite kit. If I had the money now, I would do it all now. But life is what it is.
If I can get by without doing gearing right away, I would rather put in a better initial lift kit. Which is one reason for the 33s. When they wear out, get bigger tires, wheels, and regear; by then the lift upgrades should all be done.
That's what I would like to do, but does it make sense? And am I looking at the right lift kits?
Thanks

Congrats on the new JK. Your thinking alot like myself. I got a 2.5" lift and im adding a set of 33's. Dont want the 35's for my DD and to be burning a hell of alot more gas. Theres lots of pics on this forum to find just what your looking for. As for the mod's..... yep, they alll take your money
