Default New to Jeep world

Ok so I got my first Jeep. I just got a 2008 JK. I put a smitty bilt xrc bumper on it and a 9000lb winch i had laying around. I want to eventually put bigger tires, decent lift, flat fender flares, and get rock sliders so i don't have to use my step up bars lol. now i'm not going to be able to do it all at once, so what should i do next? my jk is completely stock besides the bumper.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!!!
Thanks!!!

Drive it, see how it performs off-road, and 'then' start thinking about the mods you want...

Looks like you already have a start, just research and do what you like and can afford. There's tons of info on this site and lots of people with opinions!

welcome to the forum, now let the obsession begin

It really depends on where and how you drive it. I always say, drive it and you will know what you need. The first time I drove mine I got hung up on a set of train tracks. I knew I needed a lift before I could off road it the way I wanted to.

i did take it off roadin. never thought i would go through half the things i did. my buddy took me who has a lifted cherokee. sits on 38's with 48 inches of flex. nasty cherokee i went just about through everything he did, except the the severe rock crawling lol. the only problems i had was bottoming out and getting hung up on rocks. i won't be driving it off road all the time, its my everyday driver. but i also want it to look bad a$$

Looks like you answered your own question there.

Lift, tires and armor...

Perfect setup for on road daily driver. With the occasional off road session in my opinion.

2" lift
33x12.50(I really like cooper stt discoverer)
Whatever size rims.

You maintain on road handling. And you can conquer a bunch more obstacles with the little lift and bigger tires

thanks for the help. i think the next cheapest thing i want to do is slap on some bushwacker flat fender flares, just afraid it will look dumb with stock tires on it
