Default Can you make a 2x4 into a 4x4

I am new to jeep but always been an admirer. I just purchased the new 07 wrangler sahara , 4dr. unlimited . Well I got the 2 wheel drive , though i wanted the 4x4. Well because i dont know im impatient and bought the first one i got my hands on. I was wondering if it is expensive or hard to change it to a 4x4. so maybe in the future I could. BTW im no mechanic, dont know alot about cars, except changing oil, tires , brakes and ect.

Hey TexasWes, welcome to JK-Forum! Regarding your question, sure you can upgrade your JK to be a 4WD, it'll just cost a lot more to do than if you got it that way from the factory. But then, at least now you can install a really beefy front axle and a really good transfer case of choice. Hell, a lot of guys that'll be buying their JK's in 4WD will be doing the same thing too. At least everything else is still a Jeep and you're working off of a great platform
