Default Need bump steer advise for Rubicon Express 4.5 lift

I'm seeking advise on mods to correct bump steer on my 2010 Unlimited Rubicon with a newly installed 4.5 long arm system. I would like to only install mods that would later transfer over to a Pro Rock 44 and hydro assist. My drag link and track bar are on a new angle not paralell with the axle and I know I need to make it that way. Any advise would be appreciated.

purchase a tapered insert northridge sells for like 10$, which will let u flip the drag link, and then u need to raise the track bar higher too either with your bracket from the kit, or another style like jks, etc..

From the picture, it looks like the draglink has not been flipped. The installation instructions should have mentioned flipping this. Doing this should line everything up very nicely. If you had a shop do this install, I'd take it back and ask why it wasn't done.

yeah, i'd have to agree. i can't see for sure but it does look like the drag link isn't flipped like it should be and because of it, the angle on it is quite off from the track bar.

I'm not intending on Hi-Jacking.

But maybe this might help the OP.

Does my Drag Link in the attached pictures need to be flipped????

nope. your's looks correct. the only time you need to flip your drag link or install a dropped pitman arm is IF you installed a track bar relocation bracket.

Default The drag link is not flipped

I had ordered a tapered reamer and depth stop with the lift. It appeared that if I reamed the steering knuckle end, it would not tighten down properly so I put it on the bottom side without reaming. Is this indeed the case? The inserts, do you remove the steering knuckle, bore out the hole and weld in the insert? I'm going to have to remove both ends anyway soon to install new all steel ball joints. Is the insert the must preferred method. I'm in no hurry. Thanks for all the good info.
