Default Dynatrac 'Unlimited' PR44 caster

I have a grip on the caster settings and DIY angle finder measurements for the stock housings, but I am confusing myself with the caster settings on the PR-U housing.

Can anyone shed some light on what angle finder numbers to be looking for? And some alignment rack numbers would be good to have as well.

Ive heard 6-7 degrees is the goal. Stock is approx 4 degrees.

The stock and regular PR44 housing have 6 degrees of angular separation between the caster axis and the pinion axis. The PR44 Unlimited has 10 degrees. I'm running 6.25 degrees caster which leaves my pinion poited up 3.75 degrees.

And this puts the pinion in-line with the tcase output, correct?

The shop gave me numbers of 9 and 10deg, (using some type of a digital angle finder placed somewhere on top of the tubes) and the pinion is pointed further down than I would have thought was appropriate for the unlimited housing. Just didn't sound/look right to me, so wanted some other opinions.

Think I need to go measure myself.

So stock basically has caster set at 4* with the pinion at 2* such that when, say a 4" lift is added, it is necessary to go with the larger caster and pinion angles to retain the same geometric equivalency? Thanks.

If you are running after market driveshafts having the pinion pointed up towards the transfercase will reduce or eliminate driveline vibration. Unfortunatly with a stock axle and lift it reduces your caster and makes the front end flighty. With the unlimited PR44 you have an extra 4 degrees to tune in your pinion and caster angle. I have a 3" Teraflex lift on mine so it works great. 6.25 degrees caster and 3.25 degrees up on the pinion, these numbers are from an alignment shop.
