Default 1 1/2" wheel spacer question

Info on my jk- 2door X with 4" teraflex. My 37" Mickey Toms rub during extreme turning and noticed a very small rub in the back next to break line. . I would like to put 1 1/2 " spaces on..... I But if I do will I break off or damage stock fenders when having large travel off road? Just seeing if anyone has problems with this. Thanks

You have lots of options:

Chop the flares or go to flats. - (more space between tires and flares)
Add a Body lift. - (more space between tires and flares)
Add small coil spacers. - (more space between tires and flares)
Add bumpstops. - (more space between tires and flares)
Bring the steer stops in. - (tires can't turn in as much)
Add wheel spacers. - (more space between tires and internal components)
Swap to new rims with less backspace. - (more space between tires and internal components)

Whatever I missed?

I know getting spacers will help with keeping my internal parts safe while driving daily and off road. I just don't wanna disconnect sway bars(or don't disconnect) while I am off road and push my fenders off during articulation.

There are issues with staying connected when off-road also...

But as noted, you have options to keep the tires off of the fenders. Just depends on what your preference is to get it done.

-Between those options, I would choose flat flares or chopping the stockers.
-If you don't like that look, my second vote would be taller bumpstops - the axle will have the same down-travel, but the up-travel will be limited by the amount of bumpstop you add.
-Coil spacers add height, which may lead to needing other components.
-A body lift is another option, just depends on your opinion of them and how much extra clearance you need.

I think I'll have to chop, I don't have an extra 500 - 600 dollars around.

What do you do with the little running light that's on the side of the fender? Trash it?
