Default So Much for my LOD Gerry Can Mount(s). :(

I installed it 4 months and perhaps 6,000 miles ago. At the time of death, the can contained 1 gallon of water. I guess the weld broke while driving down the trail? Nothing came into contact with the mount or the can.

What's even worse is that the sharp metal edges cut into the sidewall of my tire and I now have a slow--and unrepairable--leak!

Not sure what to think ...

Well that sucks... Weird. I'd send the LOD rep a message. I think I'll subscribe to see how this turns out since I was gonna order these mounts after I got my LOD this month. I wonder if this has happened to anyone else?

The bumper is solid; no regrets there. I have always been slightly skeptical of the can mounts though! I mean yeah, I drive the Jeep like a rally car some times, but it's not like I'm jumping dunes or whatever ...

Give us a call tomorrow and we will send you a new set. All of our Can mounts have been changed a while back to a new stronger design. Anybody needing a upgraded set just let us know.

What about her tire? Are you guys going to help her out with that? Since it was a design issue and not caused by any abuse from the user. It wouldn't cost you guys much to replace it and show that you are willing to make everything right again.

Thanks, Chris. I was going to contact you tomorrow anyway - thought you were closed for business at this hour. This is why I always recommend your products to other forum members, and the mid-width Gen II is on my wish list.

Thanks again.

Glad to see LOD is behind their product. Sucks about the tire. But we all pay to play. Sh*t happens. Stock and aftermarket. No bid deal. Could have been worse.

Now thats what I'm talking about. Service like this is what America was founded on. This kind of action is what gets my business, no matter the cost. Great customer service is worth more to me.
