Default No fender liners

Have a question for anyone who removed your fender liners either after a fender chop or with after market fenders. Do you have any problems with rocks and other debris flying up into the engine compartment? My main concern is the big wiring harness left unprotected. Just curious if anyone has had any problems.

I'm also curious about this too since when I will lift the JK up, the liners will definitely be easy to see and can be an annoyance with all that plastic hanging around.

I've been running without liners since my Rugged Ridge flat fenders don't have liners made to go with them yet... no problems yet.
