Default Fitting Factory Rear Sway Bar Link w/ Teraflex 2.5" Coil Lift??

Need some help / guidance.....I recently installed the TeraFlex 2.5" Coil Lift and installed the new rear sway bar links in the rear and moved the factory rears to the front. I put the lift on with the factory wheels and tires, and immediately went to Discount to pick up my 35" BFG KM2's on V-Tec Raptor 17" Rims (w/ 4.5" Backspacing).

After finishing the rear, I went to pull the Jeep out of the garage, and into the street so I could pull her in straight and start the front lift.....but the rear sway bar links started shearing off slivers from the factory rims.....SO THAT IS WHY YOU BUY 4.5" BACKSPACING WITH THIS LIFT

Well, I quickly stopped after about 3 feet and jacked it back up and decided to simply unbolt the rear sway bar and links and zip tie them to the frame so I could finish the front and get to Discount Tire (about 1 mile away). Once the factory tires were taken off at Discount, I climbed under while they were mounting the new BFG's and bolted the rear links back to the sway bar. So that part is all taken care of......

I kept my factory wheels and tires and had a funny thought about dealing with the dealership if anything happens to go wrong with my Jeep. I could just put the factory wheels and tires back on and the only thing they would see is the lift, but without any knowledge of having the larger tires installed.....BUT, my factory wheels and tires don't fit with the longer rear sway bar link?!!?

And now for the question!!!
So, what is the problem with installing a new factory rear sway bar link with a TeraFlex 2.5" Coil Lift? OR Should I look at getting an adjustable Sway Bar link and try to maximize the length, while still staying under the lip of the factory rim?!?

AND, am I going to have a similar problem in the front....I don't think I would, but I haven't checked.

Thanks for any guidance and suggestions that ANYONE can offer.....Just trying to play their game and win

you want to keep the longer links and if needed, you can install them on the inside of your sway bar. it's not the best setup but, it will work and help prevent them from making contact with your factory wheels and tires. you will not have this problem up front.

Good idea....I could flip the rears to the inside for clearance, and since it would only be while I put the smaller factory wheels and tires back on for the trip to the dealer, it shouldn't be a problem, also since I won't be flexing it too bad if any at all.

Thanks.....

YEP, that is the whole point/problem with the lift and the factory rims....they rub unless they are spaced out just a hair away from the body....

Should be fine with spacers.

Move bolt and link to other side of mounting and you'll be fine. I ran that lift with factory wheels and tires for 2 months with out a problem

Solutions:
1. 1.25" wheelspacers (front AND rear)
2. new wheels with 4.5" backspacing
3. Some customers leave the stock links in the stock locations until they can afford solution 1 or 2.

I realize this thread was a while ago, but you would suggest running the old sway links before suggesting to just move them to the inside of the swaybar?
