Default Hitch racks for Motorcycles

I sold my truck and replaced it with a new JK. Yea!

But, I still have a dirt bike and need a way to get it out in the dirt. I started looking at some of the hitch mounted carriers for motorcycles.

I can see obvious issues with the spare, I'll probably need to take that off to get the bike on the rack. Does anyone else here have any experience with these on a Jeep? A trailer is really not an option for me as I have no space to store it. I've looked at the so called "Trailer in a bag" solution too, but the hitch mount looks like a better option.

If it's a nice light Motocrosser , I'd use the channel one!

I have one I use for my 300# motorcycle. It sags the Jeep quite a bit. I use air bags in my pickup for this reason, but I'm not so sure about their application in a JK.

Yep, spare off, can't use the gate or glass when loaded. Same on my pickup with a cap.

Question motorcycle hitch rack

I have used a hitch rack for a Honda 400R (nearly 300#), called a "Joe Hauler" rack. Please note that they show a number of applications on their site like a JK with a spare tire. Cheap and effective. Sold the bike, need one?[URL="http://www.joehauler.com"]

I would try Joe at joehauler.com. He is in San Marcos, CA and I am sure he could fab something up for you if does not exist. Here is what Joe is working on for me. Sorry a little of topic but Joe is the man.

Default trials motorcycle

I purchased this hauler off of Ebay. Can't remember the name but it came out of a store in Michigan. Rated for 400#. I haul my trials bike which weighs 150# no problems. When I switched to bigger spare tire i had to take the stock 2 inch bar and replace it with a longer piece of stock. just a little cutting and rewelding. Works perfect. ive also seen them listed and sold as double bike haulers.https://www.jk-forum.com/picture.php...ictureid=15713

I'm looking at a hitch hauler for my JK as well. Rating for the tonge weight on the hitch is 200lbs..... For the 4DR JK it's 350lbs. Now I know the hitch is plenty strong, so the only thing I'm thinking that could be an issue for the JK is sagging out the rear springs if I go into the 300lb weight range. Anyone have experience with this.

I've towed before and found the manufactuers weight ratings pretty conservative. I used my wifes 96 Grand Cherokee to tow a 99 Camaro SS Convertible on a 2 axle car trailer about 1500 miles. Weight rating.....4500lbs.

Default RACK for 1 or two Mortorcyles

Look at Joe Hauler racks. I have the two motorcyle carrier on my JK and it works GREAT. I had a super h/d hitch installed and my hitch hold approx 700 lbs with no issues.
