Question Third row seat for JK unlimited

I lost a row of seats going from a 2003 Discovery SE7 to a Jeep Sahahra Unlimited, but I gained In so many other catagories, like the ability to get bolt on stuff at mostly half the price!! I found one place that sells a 3rd row bench seat or individual jump seats for the JK. littleseats.com/4_dr_jeep_wrangler.htm. Does anyone have any experience with this product or one like it?

HEY NEIGHBOR!!!

I don't know of anyone on the board that has done this or anything like it yet, but it looks pretty sweet. I wonder how the seats attach. I am not sure that I would put seats in the back like that though, unless I upgraded the roll-cage to provide better protection to anyone sitting back there.

Default JK Unlimited Third row seat safety claims

The website makes a few safety claims "Each car third row seat from us designed and stress tested to meet safety standards established by the Department of Transportation, Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards. The following tests of the car third row seat frame, seat mounting platform, Type 1 and Type 2 seat belt assemblies and anchorage systems have been completed."

Third row seats are never a comfortable option for adults, but they come in handy when you need to move a handfull of people (kids or adults) a short distance. I am hoping that some brave soul will get one of these and tell the rest of us how it goes.

I have one installed in my Jeep and am very pleased with its quality.

Default 3rd row jump seat JK

Glad to hear it went well for you and works. Did you look into the bench seat version? I have the sub woofer like you do. I wonder if it would need to come out if I go for the bench seat?

I didn't look into getting the bench seat version as it was more than what I needed, but they did try it out on my Jeep for their website photos. The subwoofer would have to be relocated or removed altogether in order for the bench seat to work. Another option you could go with would be to get two jumpseats and set them up side by side rear facing if you wanted to keep your subwoofer...I may end up doing that sometime in the future...

I'd like one of these for my 2dr.. it'd be so much easier to load a kid in through the tailgate than the tangled fiasco of climbing thru the passenger side seat belt.

hey oZmonKey, when I had mine fitted, they had only intended on making them for the 4-doors, maybe if you shot them an email, you could see if they are considering making them for a 2dr or if they've tested their current stuff to see if it could work w/ a 2dr...won't hurt to ask...
