Default Front Bumper Mod - Skid Plate Necessary?

Replacing my front bumper.

Many write-ups push skid plate to protect sway motor on RUBIs.

If I don't have a RUBI (an UNLTD XS) and don't rock crawl, do I really need the plate?

IOW am I running any risk by going without?

TKS.

You're fine, the skid is a good insurance policy if you have the e-disco.
