heavy tire on stock tire carrier
Anyone has been running a bfg km2 285 70 17 (60 pounds) on the stock tire carrier ?
some say they are with no problems some say after 2 years it dents the tailgate...
I don't know what to do...

I have heard it will cause problems on the tailgate rivets popping due to too much weight, depending how and where you drive. Your best bet would be to get a rear tire carrier. The price ranges vary from$350-800+

I bent the hell out of my back gate with a 35 BFG it was on the stock tire carrier for just about three weeks when I noticed the kinks in the gate, everyone told me it would be fine and I had also seen a couple of jeeps with them no problems. Go figure mine would be the one to bend up right at the hinges.
