I just received my MAMBA MR1 black wheels for my 2011 JKU and was wondering on how this works. When I have my stock MOABS taken off will Discount Tire pull the Tire Pressure Indicators off the stock rims and mount them on my new rims when they mount the tires? Will the indicators even fit these new wheels? Or am I going to have to buy four new TPI sending units for the new rims? Thanks for any input in advance......

If you go offroad, you might consider having the sensors banded inside and running rubber stems. Those things break easily and are expensive to keep replacing.


Swap them, or get a new set so your stockers will still have them, or ditch them all-together and grab a programmer/tuner to turn the system off.

I vote for ditching them and turning tpms off.

 

if you have rubber valve stems instead of the metal ones, they will prob get screwed up when they pull them out. you can reuse the sensor but will need new stems. the stealership will try to sell you the whole set up. take one of the valve stems (should be a brass piece where the sensor screws into it) to a chevy dealership they will sell just the valve stem. around $10 ea. this is first hand experience. hope it helps.
