Front bumper
Need some recommendations on a front bumper for a JKU '08 rubicon. I'm getting an or fab for my rear, and was considering going with them for the front as well. But I'm open to input on the matter. I'm looking for one thats tough, can hold a winch, looks good and is moderately priced (300-500$). If anyone has any advise or comments let me know
There are a lot of people on here who have been very happy with the Rugged Ridge XHD front bumper. Great reviews and it seems to fit your needs. Plus, they can be customized several different ways. I have a stock front bumper now but that is the one I am considering for a lot of the same reasons as you.
Once again it is all about your preferences and budget. I ran the R/R XHD on the front of my 09 and loved it. I had it Line-Xd and never had a problem with it. On my new JK I opted for the Benchmark Elite, as I wanted a bumper that was solid and also let me mount my winch on the top of the bumper. I know, you will start hearing about cooling issues, but that is nonsense. I have no cooling issues with my Warn 9.5ti sitting where it does, and also, I can get to it to work on it if I have to or change the systhetic rope. However, this bumper will run you in the 700 dollar range. Just go with what you can afford and really think does the job.
Definitely comes to preference. Offroad Evolution 1/4 Pounder for me. So far I love it. And now Mel offers a stinger for it that you can see on the shop's facebook. Then again I love the quality and customer service Offroad Evo has. Unmatched in my opinion.
x4 for the RR XHD!
Also have the OR-FAB sheet metal for the rear...had the RR rear on my 2009 Sahara and thought it was too big...or fab is a little smaller, but for the life of me I cant get the bolts into the bracket over the hitch.... for that reason I'd reconsider the or-fab rear.
