I must have eaten paint chips when I was a kid...I have the toughest time using the search features on the forum. I tried to find a write-up or thread about the Or Fab tire carrier that goes in/replaces the stock hinges to see what others think about it and/or how difficult the install was? But of course I can't find anything about it.

Any of you seen any write-ups or threads and if so...where is they?

I may still have some links saved, I'll look. If you have any questions about install pm me. I can try to write up a few tips that aren't in the instructions. I like mine so far, it's bee on for a few weeks now.

 

One thing I've been told (and the instructions point it out), is that you will want a right angle drill to perform this install.

My tire carrier should arrive Monday, so I'm in the same boat as you. I am double, and tripple checking the OR-Fab instructions, this forum, and YouTube just to ensure things go smoothly.

 

I started my install over the weekend. I stopped right before drilling for the landing block. So far so good, but I am sweating the next part.

 

Thanks for all the info, folks! I think this is the company I want to do business with! Y'all keep me posted with those install notes and pics if possible.
