What would you do with $300-400 and a brand new 2011?
Just got my brand new 2011 2dr JK! Cosmos Blue smurf thing! It's my first Wrangler, though I've been in and driving Jeeps for a while now...
Trying to get some ideas to "make it mine" but the budget is a bit tight at the moment, nothing more than $300-400... Already have CB radio, just need the antenna, but that won't count towards this.
My "style" for the Jeep would most definitely be Overland... Not one for rock crawling; don't shoot me for that, at least I'm not a mall crawler
Some of my ideas have been the Mopar Rubicon rock-rails, need something there and I can probably get them brand-new takeoffs for $150. Plus the look pretty good. Tailgate storage (mpac) would be nice, but it's pretty pricey. I already took the back seat out on day 2
. No reason for it... Possibly a headlight upgrade?
*Update*

Here are some things I've been looking at:
- Mopar Door Sills
- Olympic 4x4 Products Xtreme Double Slider Bars
- Smittybilt SRC Rocker Guards in Textured Black
- Mopar Rubicon Rock-Rails
- Seat covers? (perhaps G.E.A.R.?)
- Overhead G.E.A.R. console (anyone have any experince with this AND a hardtop?)
- Headlight upgrades, something really nice, bright... Thoguh 2011 is already better than 2010 side-by-side
- Quick Release for hardtop
- Locking Nuts for tires (do they really help? Never heard of a spare being stolen to begin with...)
- Hi-Lift jack + Mount?
- Inconsole inverter for 2011 (need to see if MOPAR sells it...)
- Any other ideas?

Was looking for a 2-3 things, rather than one huge thing

Gas isn't a concern... Sucks it's going up but not a worry for this.
Just went through this myself. Lol. I tinted the windows, did the grill mod, the side marker mod, and added door sill guards (should have been standard anyway). All that was less than $115. With the rest, you could look into some slush mats, upgraded speakers, rubi rail takeoffs, evap skid, windshield light setup, any number of things.
Well if you plan on off roading a few things you really should have;
Hi-lift (with appropriate gear ie chains, gloves...ect)
Evap canister skid plate
If you just want something aesthetic;
Lights with windshield mounts
corner gaurds
Bed-line the Grill

A few aesthetic changes to make her your own for a few hundred bucks....
1. Ditch the stock stickers and put on your JK logo, that will set you apart from your neighborhood stockers right away.
2. Mastercraft grab handles
3. Get yourself some hand-me-down Sahara side steps from the for sale section for around $100. Since you say you're not rock crawling and more overland, you might not necessarily need the side protection, but could benefit from the step to load a future roof rack with gear. Or save up for a combo set like LOD.
4. Tuffy underseat security box....very handy.
5. MPAC tailgate system is awesome and a great idea.
6. Front window tint $100 or so
7. Black out the inside of your hard top (if you've got one) with Duplicolor Bedliner.
8. Cargo mat for the rear
9. Fire extinguisher, mag light holder, shovel, ax, trail gear.
10. seat covers
11. Lights...windshield, light bar, bumper, etc.
Good luck...you're about to get addicted

Awesome list! Stickers are being ditched for sure. I'll look at pictures of the sidesteps, that might be cool. Windows were factory tinted and It's quite nice as is.
Blacking out the hardtop, any danger in it not fitting properly/leaks afterward? I do hate the white of it. Looks silly as is, especially with the Cosmos blue. I'm going for just the Blue/Black, should be pretty menacing...
I'm already addicted... Been getting the catalogs for a while now and trolling around here
So far it's looking like:
Sill guards
Sticker ditching
Sidesteps (Would be nice loading the roof)
bedline inside of hardtop
Instead of a cargo mat, how much is it to just bedline the back by a pro? Don't trust myself with a can for that. Plus I'd rather it be able to take more of a beating....
