Default Mud Grapplers or Terra Grapplers?

Let's hear it!

Would be driving a decent amount of highway miles.

What are the pros/cons of both?

So you are looking at a dedicated mud tire, or a a/t? Why not split the difference and go for the Trail Grapplers? They are pretty quiet on the road and perform great in just about any terrain.

I second what dave said. I personally am giving the trail grapplers some thought myself, since they come in a 295/70R17 and would give my 2" BB a perfect look. If I ever get a good job, I will be going with 35" Mud Grapplers or another aggressive tire.

(I do mud often...)

Here is my experience from a friend's truck that I rode in several times:

Terra Grapplers (355/60R20 on Ram 1500 with 9" of lift):

Pros: Last FOREVER, quiet on the highway, good in the snow.
Cons: They like to hydroplane (might be the 14" width), they SUCK in gumbo mud (but ok in watery mud with plenty of throttle), they look boring

Mud Grapplers (35x12.50R17 on a Chevy 1500 with 7 inch lift):

Pros: Go anywhere, do anything tread!, tough as nails, look badass.
Cons: Treadwear wont be as long as the terra grapplers, and they are loud on the road (humming)

the mud grapplers are loud, it sounds like you have a helicopter following you. However, they are awesome both on and off road!!!!!

I just had 35" mud grapplers put on yesterday and was worried after reading all the reviews about how loud they are.
When i finaly got back and drove around it was much less than i expected. Yes i can hear em, but if you listen to the radio you won't even notice em.

I love my Mud Grapplers. The "angry hornets" chasing you sound puts my daughter to sleep everytime.
