Plan on getting around 5" from those coils. Your rear shaft should last a while, the front more than likely will not.

With a bit over 3", I lost my front driveshaft at about 6k miles.

This is correct and it's pretty much safe to say that any lift over 3" needs a front shaft and the rear shaft's life is limited and will need replacing in a matter of time.

You won't need to replace them right then and there.
Eventually you will need to get after market drive shafts though.

The TF 4" nets you more like 5.5" so plan for it. The center boot will tear off when disco'd and fully flexed (hits the oil pan and skid) and the cv boot will eventually tear and spit out grease near the Tcase and eventually fail. You can run it for a long while if you don't wheel it. But if you plan on wheeling, you might as well get it off the bat.

You won't need to replace them if you don't disconnect your sway bar and stay on the pavement.

this is false. stock drive shafts will die from angles as mentioned above without disconnecting.

My front one is throwing grease and I have less than 1000 miles on it since the 4 inch lift. Happens pretty fast after you lift it. No hard-core wheeling in those miles, it just didn't make it very long.
