1 Guy has about 5.5" of lift and I think another has 7".

I agree with you though. 4" lifts are perfect for 35" tires. They look funny(and have rubbing) on 37"s

So how do you know they have rubbing with a 4" and 37"s!!!??? You don't even own a JK! I'm getting very tired of seeing the 6" lift comment when you don't even have a JK and can barely drive. I don't like to rant but I am tired of these irrelevant responses!

Get a JK and then you might have some room to talk.

4" lift and 37" tires looks plain dumb IMO, Unless the fenders are cut, and you have stubby bumpers.

At least 5" of lift would look decent. Heres 6" of lift(5" susp. 1" body)

Here is 8" of lift(5.5" suspension, 2.5" Teraflex spacers)

Rancho claims their 4" long travel kit will accomodate 37"s with certain backspacing. That Black Rubi and the Green Sahara look awesome! I am jealous!

it also depends on the lift.

there are some pics in here of a guy with a 4" teraflex lift on a 4 door with 37's and he looks like he has more clearance in the wheel wells than stumpman's black JK, shown above, with a 5" lift and 1" body lift.

the green JK, shown above, has a 5.5" rockkrawler lift (which they say will fit 37's) plus he also has a 2.5" BB (8 inches total). but, if you look at the pic of him on the rock above, he obviously rubs when fully flexed with his 37's.

imho, i wouldn't recommend 37's with less than 5" of actual lift (which varies, even among the advertised lift height of brands).

Here's a shot of a 4 inch skyjacker long arm kit with a true 37 inch tire.
There is plenty of room currently....however you need to take a few things into consideration:
1. How tall is your 37......really?
2. How much weight will you add to the Jeep in accessories, such as bumpers, winch, etc?
3. Are you going for looks or funtion?
4. A lot depends on the brand of "lift"
The Tera flex 4 inch looks to be everyone elses six inch lift, etc.

I am running the 4 inch now and am fine, however, I am bumping up to the six inch skyjacker springs once I receive my winch and bumpers. I believe this will net me about 5 inches of "lift" after adding all the weight.
