Default Rubicon Sway Bar Links with Lift?

Hey, I was having trouble finding an answer to this question and I figured it would be a pretty simple answer for someone that knows what they're talking about...

I have a 2dr rubi that I'm looking to lift sometime soon (when my wallet lets me). What things do I have to consider as far as sway bar links go when shopping for lift components, since my jeep has factory e-discos? I'm going to end up somewhere in the 2.5" - 3.5" of lift range. I don't really understand the e-disco concept also. What exactly is being disconnected to allow great articulation?

On an semi-related note...who wants to sell me used control arms?? I passed up a deal on all 8 full traction arms last week and now i'm kicking myself...

When I installed my Teraflex 2.5" lift, you use the rear sway bar links for the front and use new links that come with the kit for the rear. I assume other kits are similar to this unless you are going for a bigger lift, in which case, it should come with longer links.

As far as I understand, when you disconnect your sway bar using the electonic motor, you are fully disconnected just as you would be if you did it manually. The articulation you get is no longer restircted by the sway bar.

The only things that limit articulation at this point is either the travel lenght of your shocks or the length of the sway bar links. In my case, since I used the rear links from my Rubi, I get additional articulation due to those being longer than the original stock ones I had on the front.

At least, that's how I understand it...and if someone says that Rubicon's are limited by the e-disco vs. manually disconnecting....well, I'll let other say that they are wrong!

The e-disco basically breaks the sway bar in 2 so they can move independently of each other.
Thanks for the help!

Sell it and get JKS Quicker Disco's

Short links are a bad thing, especially for a rubi. You want the swaybars to remain level with the ground/frame. A lot of lifts will include new rear links, then you move the stock rears up front. This works, but you would be better off with adjustables.

I have a rubicon with the e-disconnect and run adjustable links to accomodate my lift height. I have also put on removable links so I can either use my rubicon disconnect when in 4-lo and under 18mph, or take it off completely for higher speed off roading.

I don't have the programmer to fix the lame 18MPH problem...
